Living, Dining and Bar Area
This is quite exquisite with high ceilings and attractive lighting. The living room has a warm and friendly ambience and it flows into the large dining room which also doubles as the bar area. In one corner there's a computer (with high speed Internet access) available for guests. This room opens to a balcony where again, one can enjoy the calmness of the outdoors.

Kitchen
This house has two kitchens. The main kitchen is on the upper floor and this is essentially the area where all meals are prepared. It is quite spacious and has a breakfast area. The other one (situated on the ground floor) is available for self catering guests. Both kitchens have modern kitchen equipment

The garden
The lawn is well-tended and it has a variety of shrubs. It is a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the Sunday lunch barbeque.

Security
Gigiri area is the heart of the diplomatic circuit and as such the Diplomatic Police arm of the Kenya Police offer round the clock security support. Nonetheless, Rurigi house is surrounded by a perimeter wall with an electric fence. Any visitors coming in can be seen at the gate through a mini TV on the intercom and we have both day and night guards on duty.

Your Local Connection

Jambo! Welcome to Nairobi!

Nairobi hotels team Meet Ben and the team, your local connection in Nairobi. In recent years we've seen our city transform itself from a dusty city, at times dangerous and lacking in glamour, into one that is clean, vibrant and safe. We greatly welcome the increased numbers of visitors that this has brought our country, but we also recognize the potentially harmful nature of tourism as well. Due to this, we are involved in preventing exploitation of Maasai villages by overzealous and unscrupulous tour operators, as well as working with hotels and conference organizers to encourage more contribution to worthwhile Kenyan charities.
